Ka'Shon Anderson (born February 3, 1990 in Miami, Florida) known by his stage name Sean Kingston, is an Jamaican-American emerging reggae, rap and pop hybrid musician.
At the age of 11 he landed a breaking-and-entering charge. Later, he saw his mother and sister sent to prison. His sister was in prison for four months and his mother continues her sentence.
After Anderson went on MySpace, he used to "hit J.R. (Jonathan "J.R." Rotem) up 3 times a day for weeks." J.R. flew him out to L.A., which led to his debut single, "Beautiful Girls", which samples Ben E. King's "Stand by Me".
